Sandvik Process systems produces machinery for the Chemical Industry.

  • Challenge: A long narrow factory building was needed and there were no available buildings meeting the requirements. There was a request from head office to minimize investment.
  • Solution: A build to suit deal was negotiated with an industrial zone in the outskirts of Shanghai with a 7 year lease. There was also an option for an adjacent land lot.
  • Result: The project was completed to satisfaction. However, sales development was over expectation and the factory had to be extended already after a year and is still in operation after 20 years.
