scandic foods fhc smallLast week Scandic Sourcing visited our sister company Scandic Foods Asia at the FHC China 2016 Exhibition. This year 2,350 food and wine exporters and distributors from 65 countries participated in FHC and the ProWine China Exhibition which was held alongside in the same facilities at Shanghai New International Expo Centre China. We talked to Scandic Foods Marketing Manager Amanda Chang about her impressions of the exhibition. 
Why did Scandic Foods Asia choose to participate in the FHC China Exhibition this year? 
Scandic Foods Asia has developed a strong position in importing Scandinavian foods of consumer products in China for the past few years. This is the 1st FHC exhibition Scandic Foods Asia has participated, we have a clear goal to demonstrate the variety of high quality food service products and food service solutions we are capable to provide for Chinese hotels and restaurants. With the great support from our supplier, we proudly introduced 11 new food service SKUs at this exhibition. Our goal for FHC exhibition is to continue increasing the brand awareness in China and expand the distributor network in different provinces.
What do you think about the Exhibition?
It was great to be part of FHC exhibition with 65 countries and 2350 exhibitors coming together. With the increasing visitors in the exhibition every year, it is clear to see how the market is demanding high quality food and diverse dining solutions!
Did you get a lot of visitors to your booth?
We have collected around 150 contacts during the exhibition. 30% of them are from Shanghai, following by Shanghdong, Beijing, Jiangsu, Hebei etc. We have categorize our contacts into 8 categories, distributors, restaurants, retailers, factories, hotels, e-commerce platforms, coffee shops and bakeries.
Is there a big interest for your products at the exhibition? 
FHC exhibition focus in hotel & restaurant food solutions. Therefore, we are very thrilled to see visitors shows a lot of interest in our food service products like our salad dressings, sauces, relish and dessert mix. They also show a lot of interest in food solution products like device and dispensers from Scandinavia which are very rare in the market now. In the future, we would like to continue introducing more high quality food and Nordic dining culture to the market.
